What sort of information does HTI collect from me?

We may collect and aggregate information concerning our website visitors, including among other things which portions of the sites are accessed and when. Like many websites, when you use our site we may automatically track the following information: the URL you just came from, the URL you are requesting, the date and time of your request, what browser and operating system you are using, the Internet Protocol (IP) address, and the browser's software identification. This information is used to help diagnose problems with our servers, to administer our Web sites, and to report aggregate information. This is common practice among Internet sites.

Should you apply for or enroll as a User of the Service, we collect information as indicated in the sign-up form, and other information related to your User Account. If you make any payments to us we may collect payment information such as your name, credit card number, and expiration date, so that we may process the payment transaction. In some cases we will retain this information with your permission for automated payments or to facilitate future transactions.

We may also collect your email address, telephone number, or other personal information you provide should you send us an inquiry by electronic mail or inquiry form. We may save any message you send us so that we may respond or reply to your inquiry.

Once you have an Account, we retain the profile information you use to customize your account, in particular the settings used to personalize settings for the saved Views, Life Pages, Magazines, and other features of the Service. This information includes, among other things, which websites you regularly access and how you view those websites. We may also save information on how and when you use your Account. The profile and usage information is saved by HT as part of your Account, and we do not as a matter of course share this information with third parties. However, we may share this information in aggregate form with others, or use or share it internally within HT or among our affiliates, in the course of providing the Service to you.

Finally, we may receive information about you from other sources and may add such information to your record. For example we may receive an electronic mail forwarding address from an email address verification service.
